The FIRST LIGHT booktail

The awe-inspiring cocktail crafting genius Lindsay Merbaum has created a custom cocktail for FIRST LIGHT:!
Ingredients⁠
Coffee⁠
1.5 oz bourbon ⁠
.5 oz heavy cream⁠
2 tsp walnut liqueur⁠
Chocolate bitters⁠
⁠
Instructions⁠
Make a small pot of regular coffee. Once cool, pour into a silicone ice cube mold and add 2 tsp walnut liqueur to each square. Freeze. Once frozen, dry shake the bourbon, chocolate bitters, and heavy cream by adding all three to a shaker without ice and agitating vigorously for a few seconds. Pour into a rocks glass, then add a coffee ice cube and serve. ⁠

If you want the full experience, I recommend Crude Bitters coffee and cocoa bitters, Middle West Spirits Michelone reserve bourbon, Watershed Distillery nocino, and Dog Bar Jim coffee beans, so a little piece of most of the locations where these books were written can be a part of this drink (sorry, LA, I don't have anything hailing from your vicinity).⁠
